Chattahoochee GC March 8, 2010

What a grand day: weather, golf, and friends. Life is good! We had 64 golfers who teed off with only 1 person MIA because of illness. We also had 10 new players who played with us today. I want to apologize to any innocent person who might have seen my golf game today, but I am blaming it on not playing in such beautiful weather in a while. Hopefully our next outing at Hammers Glen will maintain our weather winning streak. Thanks, Paul

Innsbruck GC Nov. 9, 2009

What a beautiful day for golf. It was fall cool in the mountains, but I did notice at least two of our players were wearing shorts. Driving in Dave and I saw a wild turkey crossing the road. Life is good! The course was very tight and the fall leaves covered up lots of balls that found their way to the rough. One thing learned by all was: On the greens make sure you leave yourself an uphill putt or you will almost always 3 putt”.

Highland Walk GC- October 26, 2009

What a beautiful day for golf. It was a little windy and cool and I think most had a great day! The course had tight fairways and was quite hilly. Even though the weather was cool, I spotted a black snake while looking for a golf ball and after that I didn’t look for anymore balls hit into the woods.

This was the first tournament that we have played from three (3) different tees. It was pretty tough for our new blue tee players as nary a + score was had! The course was very scenic and some of the water holes, I was told, ate quite a few golf balls. We had a new member today ( Rick Reed) and a guest ( Bill Kinser). It is to be noted that both were in the money this week which we plan so they will come back.

WOW! This was a monster from the Blue Tees. I think the difficulty of the Blue Tees (Slope 137) lead to much slower play. The weather was quite warm. It was a great turnout (57 players) with no unexpected no-shows which allowed the tournament to start on time. We had 2 new players (Charlie Eaton and Bob Breitbeil), one past player (Ron Cebulski) and a guest (Tony Denote). It is to be noted that Charlie, Bob, and Tony all won money in their first event.
